Funny thing is, I'd seen him get back to playing the 100 club When he played Koko in Camden on that tour the place was stuffed with enormous blokes from Essex and although I couldn't see much (and I'm 6'2") we were all thrilled for him. Then he got to #1 with Daltrey... And then he died.

When Blessed was rehearsing Peter Pan in Manchester, my mate had to deliver a big rubber crocodile to the company. He was told to deliver the prop to the room. When he walked in, Blessed roared, ‘here comes the fucking crocodile!’ grabbed it, and wrestled it to the floor. What a legend.
