While Simon is not exactly a #RicardianPets, Elizabeth tells me that he is quite a re-enactor and clearly a Ricardian.
A stuffed teddy bear wears a jaunty purple hat with a feather. His clothing is pseudo medieval-ish and he wears one of the Richard III Society buttons prominently on his jerkin.Simon the bear as a scribe. He wears a medieval pair of glasses and holds a quill pen. He wears a pin that is a white rose.

1st October and the medieval Labour of the Month was often sowing seeds. The men are dressed for the cooler weather. This image is from CMA Hours of Queen Isabella the Catholic, Queen of Spain: Fol. 11r
A small round painting in a medieval manuscript. Two men are sowing seeds. One faces away, and is heading to the left, one is facing the viewer and heading right. Both wear a piece of cloth that goes over the head and settles on the shoulders and back. In the front it probably extends to the knees but is gathered up at the bottom to form a pouch in which to hold the seeds. They hold it up with one hand and scatter with the other.

It's September & a common Labour of the Month was crushing grapes. This image shows some of the steps from bringing them in, in baskets, pouring them in to be crushed, the tired looking men stomping & finally the grape juice flowing out into a container on the floor. Image credit in ALT #Medievalsky
A man enters on the left with a wicker basket on his back. He is wearing shoes and white leggings up to the knees. A similarly dressed man but in blue bends over so the grapes go over his head into the large vat.He holds a stick he can lean on as he bends over. One of the men stomping grapes in the vat is helping to get the grapes out of the basket.. We cannot see his feet but it is presumed he is barefoot. There are grape stains on his legs and those of the other man in the vat who is clearly stomping. A small container in front of the vat is filling with juice from a small hole at the bottom of the vat. Image from Bibliothèque de Genève, Ms. lat. 33, f. 9r

Good news from @kriiicentre.bsky.social and some information about the statue of Richard III, from us. As people may be aware, it was vandalised recently. The Richard III Society donated the statue to the City of Leicester in 1980.
Pictures of the statue from the front and side with the text 'We are delighted to let you know that our incredible Street Cleaning Team at Leicester City Council did their magic over the weekend, all repaired and restored.' Image from Facebook. We are delighted to hear that Leicester's Street Cleaning team have already removed the paint with which the much loved statue of Richard III was vandalised over the weekend. Our thanks both to them and to the King Richard III Visitor Centre for alerting them.
This statue was a gift to the city of Leicester from the Richard III Society. In the 1970s Leicester City Council had invited the Society to support their plans for a memorial to the king. Due to shortage of funds at the Council, the Society eventually took over the project. The bronze statue was designed by James Butler RA. The Duke of Rutland, a descendant of Richard III's sister Anne Duchess of Exeter, became patron of the appeal fund to pay for it. The statue was originally placed in the Castle Gardens and was unveiled on 31 July 1980 by Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester. It was relocated to the Cathedral Gardens in 2014 as part of the major project of refurbishing the Cathedral and building the King Richard III Visitor Centre.
