If I “unintentionally” hacked anybody, let alone a foreign government I would be arrested and charged with multiple felonies. Why are these AI companies treated as above the law? Does this mean if I create Richard’s AI LLC, I have free rein to commit “accidental” felonies?

Hey @governor.ca.gov You know what will hurt jobs in Hollywood? Allowing further consolidation amongst the media oligarchs. The first thing that follows two giant corporations merging is layoffs. Every time. In every industry. The best thing for your constituents is to stop the Ellison oligarchs.

Two ideas from this article resonate 1. The “rogue AI agent” hacking incidents are more failures of test design and oversight than examples of runaway AI. 2. Focus on existential risk helps distract from concrete harms happening now from government misuse to companies using AI against workers.

It’s not radical to believe you should be able to afford groceries, see a doctor, breathe clean air, and drink clean water. There’s nothing more American than fighting for a government of, by, and for the people.

Damn, somebody or their bot decided to REALLY hammer my homelab last night. I average about 200-300 IDS/IPS events over 24 hours usually. These last 24 hours were almost 800 events! If my #homelab is going to get hammered Im glad its showing up on this list and not by way of compromised machines 😅

Is Rockstar shipping discless “physical” copies of GTA6 because they’re trying something new? Or is it because they know they won’t have a functional game in time to get physical copies on the shelves? Because I’d be willing to bet it’s the latter.

The macOS 26 beta 6 update borked my M2 Mac Studio. Whoops. Time to put my backup solution to a proper test, it seems. It’s been so long since I’ve had to do a complete erase and reinstall on any of my Apple devices. I’m just glad I’ve got my work MacBook to be able to do a DFU restore.

The most jarring thing added to iOS 26 has to be automix in Apple Music. I hope they let you adjust the parameters; otherwise, it’s just going to get turned off. It’s a neat idea, but right now, it’s bad. It’s playing like 60% of a song and then doing a slow crossfade 1/3rd of the way into the next.
