Ooo, I am very interested but don’t have a headshot yet I’d want to use… can pay for one and defer the deliverable?

It's #fossilfriday! Here's a guy from HOW TO SURVIVE PREHISTORY: Arthropleura, a (probably!) herbivorous millipede relative that roams the coal forests of Carboniferous Scotland. Survival Verdict: YES. It's got a nasty nip, but we feel if you get bit, you have it coming.

You could probably email them about it. They replaced my mothers Dutch oven when she forgot it was on the stove and didn’t smell the tomato sauce scorching so bad it destroyed the enamel, even though that wasn’t technically normal household use. They are pretty good about their warranty!

this takes an incredible amount of character, not just to give it up, but to admit all of this. This guy has more guts than any AI fuck by a mile, and maybe more than us too. People who've managed to escape AI usage are invaluable towards convincing others to do the same.

Have you seen the magnetic screen DIY kits? They work wonders - they’re not cat-proof alone but I bet you could use it over the chicken wire to keep the bugs out. They come with adhesive strips too so you don’t have to attach them to metal. I’ve got them on all my windows that can still open.

Uber eats refused to refund my food that arrived thoroughly contaminated with air freshener - inedible - and hung up on me when I asked for an explanation of that policy. Now I have no food, no refund, and no spoons to go get something myself since I can’t risk that guy picking up another order.

I asked my PCP about this: she said the reason they force the wait is there’s no long term efficacy data. If you get it at 20, we don’t know yet if it would still be effective or boosted again when you’re 60. Older folk are more vulnerable so it’s more important to have it work at that age.

Oozing through glands in the skin, like echnidas. I spent far too long once trying to determine if one could milk a platypus for platypus custard, but it would be far too much hassle.

Been there, scratched that tapir already. 😛 I did genuinely consider a cassowary but they’re not very huggable. One encounter even in a squeeze is enough proximity for a lifetime, thanks.

I have a surprising lack of need to snuggle most things, and a pretty long list of animals I probably shouldn’t have been allowed to touch. But platypus, man. I’m obsessed.

If you’re tempted by the “AI summaries are just modern CliffsNotes” argument, please remember that CliffsNotes were written and edited by people who got paid to be accurate, not built on stolen data and extruded through a LLM that doesn’t know what truth is.
