The extent to which one must go to see even the lightest possible enforcement of the ADA is simply bonkers. Employer being discriminatory? You better be ready to lodge a formal, perfectly worded complaint to get the accommodations you need to...yep, still work for someone discriminating against you.

The solution to poverty is find a job! Okay, do me a favor. Put on your CV that you have a disability that requires accommodation. See how much interest you get. If you DO get hired, clock how long it takes before you start getting written up for medical absences, “attitude” problems, etc.

And yes, I had contacted that clinician after the first denial. Got yelled at by a case worker for contacting them at all. Had 3 different doctors tell me they didn't know what to write down. So I had to write it, and fax (yep. faxing was mandatory) it myself.
