A couple of years ago, I went through the insurance appeal process. Denied twice, and in the third review--where I had collected all of the codes & medical necessity language from the company's own wheelchair manual to prove necessity--I found out an essential clinical document was never submitted.

Women's clothing is truly going backwards. Today at the mall, anything in my size (above average) was black, grey, or oatmeal. And even the sensible women's stores didn't have anything above a 12 (some stretchy brands I can fit a 12? But not a 2026 12, apparently) Only 1 shirt actually fit. 😬

I deeply admire people that thrift and makes their own clothes. My unconventional body proportions, diagnoses that cause random bloat, and chronic fatigue unfortunately prohibit me from being that incredible. But I'm doing my best to buy higher quality + learn to mend!

It's a dark day for this East TN native. Dollywood has had programs where they recruit panels of disabled people to give feedback on new attractions. For most of my childhood, disabled riders could go twice in a row to avoid standing in line again. And you know I got that Imagination Library! 🚂

Parents, I know it sucks that you have to, but please do research on your kids coaches, youth ministers, extra curricular leaders etc. First 10 pages of Google results, then check for offender registries and mug shots too. Most organizations' volunteer processes aren't thorough.
