I was in ED all yesterday evening, been in EAU all this morning with Dad and I've just come to sit in an office that I worked five years ago whilst Dad has an angiogram and it is SO QUIET. I am never going to take quiet for granted again

6yo spent half an hour sitting next to the piano with a piece of manuscript paper and wrote her first composition (she wrote one partly with her Daddy before but this was entirely by herself). She chose the time signature and the bars all add up correctly!

We made exceptionally enormous Fat Rascals. Didn't know before today that you arrange the cherries and almonds to make a face so 6yo had great fun doing that in a variety of expressions.

6yo sang for the first time at Holy Communion this morning with the choristers. It wasn't a child friendly service and she did SO well that she entirely earned the second biscuit that she sneaked. Asked what she thought of the sermon "I wasn't really listening". Better answer than "boring" I think.
