Dear fellow narrators: If you are going to be narrating a British accent story, do not sabotage yourself by listening to your previous Australian accent story, lest you find yourself suddenly incapable of doing the required British accent in less than six takes. Signed, someone who now knows! 😆

Woohoo! Today is finally the day that my second guesses outweigh my fifth guesses on #Wordle! All my hard work keeping track of all the words used so far is finally paying off 😎

A screenshot of Wordle guess distributions, with second guesses beating fifth guesses 74 to 73.

A month ago, I started a third job (I know, why?!) as an audiobook proofer. And already it's making me a more conscientious narrator! Because seeing all the little mistakes that slip past others makes me more determined to stay alert to all the details in my own manuscripts. Yay for learning!

Suuuper behind, but here's my haul from the Realm Makers Expo! It was great to meet so many authors and to add so many interesting books to my TBR list. And of course, AMAZING to get third place in the Short Form Audio competition!

A picture of several books laid out on a blanket. "Sky Cowboys" by Lauren Sohre, an artbook that combines American Western vibes with Pegasuses; "Thief, Witch, & Liar" by Emmarayn Redding, a Prunella retelling with several other fairytale references thrown in; two Isaac Asimov books from his Foundation series; and a silver awards finalist medal

The great thing about recording an anthology is you can actually choose to record chapters out of order! This is especially helpful if you are short on recording time one particular day, so you can skip ahead to the shorter chapter and come back to the long one the next day.

The fact that there have been MULTIPLE people who ask me what audiobooks are when I say that's what I make is kind of astounding to me? Like, I get wondering what my ROLE in making them is. But to ask what they ARE? My friend. Audio. Book. The audio version of the book. It's in the name. 🤔
