I think this is especially a theme in deltarune itself. asgore got so invested in a mystery that's long since passed and it caused him to lose connection with his literal and metaphorical families. even in his "perfect" world, asgore hardly took the time to appreciate what they've done for him

windows recently installed bad noise cancellation on everyone's computers without saying anything; if you record or stream check your input device in sound properties and make sure "audio enhancements" is disabled.

small rant about how canto 5 is seriously top 5 cantos top 3 adaptations and how ishy is the goat and underrated

Moby dick ends with Ishmael being picked up by a boat after being the sole survivor of ahab's fight with the whale. Some interpret the narrative as circular, they pick him up, ask him what happened and he starts with the famous call me Ishmael

So in that sense he never finds anything to do in life. He set sail as a form of suicide, was slowly overtaken by ahabs obsession, made a dear friend and lost him, but hes still alive and now he has to recall it all. He's in that loop of depressive erratic behavior and suicidal thoughts forever, he can't even die

LIMBUS ISHMAEL HOWEVER KEEPS MOVING FORWARD!!!! She sets out to explore!!! Bookmael is obsessed with whales and sealife as a way to rationslize grief imo, he doesnt shut up about it because it's his only escape, and even that passion for the sea gets swallowed by ahab due to his passiveness. I mean, he did want to go to the sea to die
