This is the first day without a World Cup game in almost a month and I am sad. 😢

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

What an absolutely insane game.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Still time for King Charles to call Gianni Infantino to have FIFA reverse that red card.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

So Canada’s men’s team made it further into the #WorldCup than Germany and Netherlands and just as far as Brazil.

As wonderful as this Canada run was, it’s fair to criticize Jesse Marsch for some of his choices. Too slow to make tactical adjustments, not making the right substitutions. I mean, why have Davies take a roster spot if he’s not going to play? (Yes, I’m aware Bayern Munich was calling the shots here)

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Oh no. Was really pulling for Cabo Verde here.

By the letter of the law, I suppose that was a penalty. But it was extremely harsh. Not a huge fan of that call.

Having a mid-week statutory holiday is brutal. Just brutal.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

There’s no way this Belgium-Senegal game should end on a penalty like that. Extremely harsh.

the World Cup is one of those things that reminds us we’re one humanity. Sucks that a corrupt few influence so much division in us. Day to day life around the world is still that we eat, drink, laugh, cheer for a goal. Remembering our shared humanity is so important now. If we forget, we’re doomed.

It would be nice at a time like this for the official @canadasocceren.bsky.social and @canmntofficial.bsky.social accounts to be active on BlueSky.

Never in my life did I imagine I’d see Canada’s men’s team playing in July of a #FIFAWorldCup. 🇨🇦🇨🇦

Woooooooooo. YESSSSSSS!!!

Tuned into the final 30 minutes of this Austria-Algeria match and it is absolutely incredible. Absolute insanity.

Everything about how they announced that first pick was incredibly cringe. #NHLDraft

Me to Kent Hughes after seeing a flurry of trades the past couple of days:

So we are all going to collectively hate the Panthers, yes? (Even more so than now)

I feel terrible for Ismael Kone. What a gruesome injury.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Well, now it’s imperative that @canmntofficial.bsky.social win tonight. A draw makes moving to the Round of 32 very difficult.

It’s a beautiful, bright sunny day. So, naturally, the power went out.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

It is the most wonderful time of the year. Nova Scotia strawberry season.

Canada earns its first ever point at a men’s World Cup. Should have been a win, but I’ll take it.

Alright, here we go! Let’s go, @canmntofficial.bsky.social! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🍁🍁🍁

Well, I don’t care how tired I am, that’s the last time I go to bed before a game is over no matter how lopsided it appears to be. Can’t believe I missed that fourth quarter. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 02/06/2026

I remember a few months after I moved here 15 years ago thinking it was interesting that it rained a lot and there were storms, but never any thunder and lightning. I was told that thunderstorms were very rare here. That has very much changed since then. #HaliSky

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

Well, it’s been a fun playoff run. Maybe next year.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

Very happy that Nova Scotia’s Jacob Shaffelburg made @canmntofficial.bsky.social World Cup squad.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Seeing the insane amount of traffic in north end Halifax right now, especially toward the MacKay Bridge, has me thinking what would happen in the event of a major emergency. Honestly, I have never seen it this bad. Avoid the area if you can.

Remo @remozaccagna.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

The beauty of this unexpected playoff run by Montreal is, in my view, they’re essentially playing with house money. It’s invaluable experience for a very young team that will pay off in the next few years. No matter what happens, the future is very bright. Yes, this is how I’m coping right now.

There are players who get you to the playoffs. There are players who get you through the playoffs. Josh Anderson is the latter. He’s just been a difference maker in these playoffs. #GoHabsGo

Huge kudos to the Carolina Hurricanes for the bilingual Oh Canada. That’s the first and last nice thing I’ll say about them for the foreseeable future. #GoHabsGo
