Needless to say I stand in full solidarity with our kids who are within their full right to demand our institutions and democracy to do much, much better And I applaud our unions and parents for standing by them and protecting them the best they can from ruthless and bloody police methods

I finally made keychains from the Projection Stones! 🔥 It took some time for me to have a proper design that prints well with this small size for quite all symbols (except the Eye which is too detailed) but here we are! #OuterWilds

“Students told us the temptation was greatest when they feared they would miss a deadline,” the report reads. IMO the underlying issue here is the labor practices these students are being fed into as they near adulthood. Learning is not about volume of output, but do these students understand that?

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).
A crescent Moon seen during the day, arcing from upper left to lower right of the frame. At lower centre is the full disk of Jupiter; the small dots to its upper left and lower right and Io and Ganymede, respectively.

The image is of a four panel comic.
In the first panel we see a dragon sitting on a pile of treasure. A speech bubble pointing off panel reads, “Dragon, why do you have all this treasure?”
In the second panel we zoom in on the dragons face. He simply says “shiny”.
In the third panel we pan to the left and see that there is a crow standing next to the dragon on the treasure.
In the fourth panel we zoom in on the crows face. He says “hell yeah”.

Il y a des balcons au quatrième et je me demande à chaque fois qui peut bien vivre là et à quel point il faut avoir des sous pour posséder un truc pareil.

Antikythera mechanism (2nd century BC; reconstruction 2012, Tony Freeth)
A simple mechanism for predicting the Callipic cycle, a technique for estimating the time, solstice, and lunar state, used by Greek navigators. The dial on the left shows the state of six heavenly bodies, a crank, and the instructions for use inscribed on the front; the middle shows the mechanism itself, with various step gears used to multiply or divide the main gear into smaller or larger periods; the spring spirals on the back act as a kind of 'checksum', alerting the operator to the end of a calendar month or year.

Five-story pagoda of Kofuku-ji temple, Nara, Japan奈良 興福寺. Photography by Fujita on ganref
Captured by photographer Fujita, the stark black-and-white framing strips away peripheral distraction, isolating the pagoda’s ascending eaves (noki) and intricate bracket complexes (masugumi) against an absolute void. The low-angle perspective emphasizes the rhythmic, upward cadence of the tile-capped roofs, where crisp white highlights gleam along the curved rafters (taruki) and underside support beams, transforming centuries-old joinery into a pure study of geometry, light, and shadow.

Originally founded in 730 CE by Empress Kōmyō and rebuilt in 1426 during the early Muromachi period following a series of fires, Kōfuku-ji’s five-story pagoda stands as an enduring masterpiece of classical Japanese Buddhist architecture. Rising nearly 50 meters, it is the second-tallest wooden pagoda in Japan. Structurally, the monument relies on ancient mortise-and-tenon carpentry executed without a single iron nail, anchored internally by a massive central heart-pillar (shinbashira) that provides dynamic seismic flexibility. Cosmologically, each of the five tiers represents one of the five primary Buddhist elements (godai): earth (chi), water (sui), fire (ka), wind (fū), and void or space (kū), ascending toward spiritual enlightenment.

September is Bi Visibility Month, so perceiving me may be easier, as all bisexuals have disadvantage on stealth rolls until Halloween 1st.
BI REMINDER
💜Bisexual women are still bi even if they're dating men
🩷Bisexual men exist, and they're not "just gay"
💙Ace/Aro bisexuals, & Nonbinary
bisexuals exist
💜Sexual orientation is about attraction, not action
🩷Bisexuals dont need to have dated all the genders/gender identities they re attracted to - to know they're attracted to them
