Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 10/10/2026This is the best. It's one of my kids' favourites these days too. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Have been re-playing RDR2 lately, so I did a search for posts about it from people I follow. Let me tell you, those who liked the game maybe posted about it once or twice. Those who didn't seem to have posted about it endlessly. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I spent this afternoon visiting my son's nursery to read a couple of my favourite stories to them. Reading to kids is brilliant for everyone. And I saw a red squirrel whilst I was there! 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Frustrating having spent the last 18 months applying for data-ish jobs with no success, when the BBC is publishing atrocious graphics like this. 010

Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Not a fan of these generous descriptors in the diary room bits. Maya Jama putting her name to a range of eyemasks doesn't qualify her as a entrepreneur, and Richard E Grant have a couple of autobiogs doesn't mean he's an author. #TheTraitors 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Julie giving Joe a shield backs my theory that they're a secret mother/son. #TheTraitors 052
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Fingers crossed that (a) James Acaster is selected as a traitor, and (b) the other traitor is surprise last-minute addition Rhod Gilbert #TheTraitors. 010
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026McDonald's had an advert here in the UK where they had loads of people saying their nuggets were made of "bits and beaks", repeatedly. At the end, they say they're not - but it's like brain training to make you associate McDonald's nuggets with "bits and beaks". 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026This article is pure unadulterated hoseposting. The btl comments are just endless "I am from the past and everything on TV now is worse than when I was a kid" 001
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026It's like saying "I listened to Baby Shark; here's why all 21st-century music is worse than the Macarena" 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026The only shows actually named are Cocomelon, PAW Patrol or Blippi - all of which are legitimately awful. Coincidentally, they're all (I think) American/Canadian imports. The preschool content made by the BBC in the past 10 or so years is just a mile above that dreck, and much better than 90s TV. 100
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026"Choosing older, slower shows has become a simple form of parental quality control." Baffling. There are more gentle (and educational!) shows available now than to kids 30 years ago. My 4yo is obsessed with Numberblocks; when I was his age I was into Power Rangers. 100
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026"I don’t know if this is the norm in all episodes of these shows or if it was just the few episodes I happened to briefly see." This is just a really lazy nostalgia-bait article from someone who doesn't even know what children's shows are currently being shown! 100
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026"The problem with some modern programmes isn’t the content, it’s the pacing" There are absolutely *tons* of nice restful shows on CBeebies for those who actually look. Colours, Patchwork Pals, Sarah & Duck, Baby/Toddler Club, Bedtime Stories, Daydreams... 110
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Thinking of the UK places I know with non-obvious pronunciation, then seeing if there's somewhere in the US named after it. Sadly there's no Loughborough I can find in the US, but there's a lake of that name in Canada. The guy in this video says "Lowbro", which tbh is catchier. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Not entirely confined to America's south, see: Berkshires 100
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Glorious. There's a non-zero chance my dying words will be "International Super Star Soccer Pro" in the exact same tone as the game's intro - it's that seared into my memory. 110
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Felt like more tbh. And every single one had Beckham, Messi and Henry 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Must be difficult for the US Open crowd to know who to root for in a match between a home player and a sex pest. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I feel sorry for the woman who did this stock photo, only for it to be used to depict someone listening to porn on the bus. 121
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 09/09/2026If McCullum was still with England's Test team, we could have been on for one day Test 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 02/09/2026My younger child will start primary school in August next year, very concerned as to how fast the year will go. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I had successfully got my 7yo to agree to see this for his birthday party this Friday, only for there not to be a showing after school that day 🤦 Gutted 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Has someone done a RDR2 mod where that guy actually finds his friend Gavin? 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Football fans can be exactly the same. The sport could obviously improve in loads of ways if it ever thought to learn from other sports. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 31/08/2026There is a recurring theme on here when Americans are discussing a societal improvement (e.g. bike lanes, gun control), and you get even well-meaning leftish types asking if such a thing is even possible. When you could... just look at every other western nation... 100
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Cricket has generated a million headlines from one incident this summer because a bloke in a random village game intentionally tried to deceive the umpire - because it's so jarring for the sport. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Screenshot because I generally regard this poster highly... but when you follow other sports it's utterly bonkers to see football fans(/writers) end up in such a contorted position that they don't see diving as cheating. 200
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 30/08/2026There is a song on this year's Divine Comedy album (Neil Hannon, Father Ted songwriter) that is pretty clearly about him. 010
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 30/08/2026This is literally the Golden Cleric acceptance speech. At this stage I think he only has a co-writing credit because he was the inspiration for Arthur Matthews to write the ugly parts of Ted's character. 0111
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 30/08/2026BBC article on the Martínez to Chelsea transfer. Thursday was not "last week", it was earlier this week. Reporting to IPSO. 000
Adrian @redowl14.bsky.social · 29/08/2026For those viewers who tuned in for the Will They Won't They plot, this is when In the Night Garden jumped the shark. 000
