Ok, couple of things here. Sadly I think the fishing industry thing is something people (like ourselves) have memed into (non-)existence GW’s turnover (& operating profit) is phenomenal and is a large % of the likes of the fishing industry but still just a % of As a rhetorical point though it’s…

GW is a representative here of cultural industries. We could also swap in higher education- or at least we could have until recently... We have government and opposition promoting WHard Hat and Hi-VizW and AI as the places for investment and jobs. Minis. £650 a year...

Both @jearle.uk and @ewacat.bsky.social would want you to know that Games Workshop made £650 million last year. Fishing is over £1bn a year. So the minis and that company made over half of what the entire fishing industry made. And as @jearle.uk said, GW is likely more profitable than fishing.

These shows could be a lot shorter without all the VT fluff. But then, what would the BBC fill the time with.

Swords Coins Cups Polo-sticks... From there to "our" suits is quite the journey. According to Parlett, the French suits were simplified versions to make them easier to produce. And they call them 'trefoils' which is logical.
