These types of policies would be less damaging if they were enacted alongside a strengthening of the safety net. Like improvements in access to treatment and alternative pain management. But new Medicaid work requirements under the BBB will mean even fewer people are able to get the help they need.

Remind me that rescue 1 year old retrievers are teenage hooligans. Henry knows basic obedience but does nip, bite, when frustrated, over excited. Nuts around other dogs on walk. My flatcoated retrievers were ALOT but 🤔 my hound was a project but 🤔 #RescueDog #Labrador
