Nosferatu was gorgeous and the physical acting beyond compare but I feel so disappointed and kinda mad at that ending. Heavy CW warning to DV and SA survivors thinking about going.

Finish Blood and Honey. Write two add ons to the Small Favors series. Begin publishing my next long fic, Inhuman. Outline an original novella project. Participate in at least one fandom event or zone.

Every time there's a post about how writers shouldn't use AI art, some chucklefuck in the comments says it's not fair because "some people just don't have art skills." So, from a former "person without art skills," here's a 🧵 about the cool shit that's happened since I decided to make art anyway.

A bedazzled anatomical heart covered in white, pink, and purple rhinestones, with the veins in bright silver.

New to @bsky.app? We’ve got some etiquette just for you! Turn on the little feature that reminds you to post alt text with your images. Alt text allows blind and partially sighted people to understand what's in your images using screen readers. Without alt text, it just says "image".

Screen shot of "Accessibility Settings" with two main categories: "Alt text" and "Media." Under Alt text, there are two toggle options labelled "Require alt text before posting," which is switched on. “Display larger alt text badges" Under Media, there’s an option labelled "Disable autoplay for videos and GIFs," which is switched on.

I felt even more bittersweet illustrating this fic because it was finished almost 10 years ago and I've only discovered and fell in love with it this week ❤️‍🩹 When the Hummingbirds Return by Emanium buff.ly/3OdGcYv #superbat #brucewayne #clarkkent

A young Bruce in black pajamas wanders through an overgrown grass field in the setting spring sun. Two hummingbirds fly by him.

An older Bruce and Clark reunite and embrace in the same field in spring, 6 months later for Clark and 30 years later for Bruce. A blinding white dimensional portal is behind Bruce.

cloisbat clark is a big fluffy dog who thinks he's a lapdog.... who thinks he can jump into bed without anyone noticing....

Clark jealously watches Lois Lane and Bruce Wayne kissing, and he has no idea which one he's more jealous of

Clark has his face in his hands, lamenting that they're both so hot

Clark pulls Lois and Bruce apart from their kiss and sticks his face between them so they kiss him instead. It feels right to him

I feel like we all need a checklist right now: Am I safe from immediate harm? Do I have a support network? Do I have some freedom to structure my life? Do I have outlets for my most powerful feelings? Do I have joyful activities? Do I have a space I can retreat to? Can I help folks who lack these?

Other small ways to start practicing #communitycare: Alt Txt on your images. Start the habbit now as you migrate to the new interface on Blue Sky. Information should be free and unfettered to all, but that also includes joy. Put that Alt Txt on your fic checks and fanarts.

I am so serious about this. Masking isn't about COVID or personal responsibility anymore. Its about protecting each other from preventable medical and financial hardship. Not everyone gets sick days.

012

RedFive @red5.bsky.social · 07/11/2024

Looking for small ways to start practicing greater community care? Mask up. But don't do it to protect yourself from Covid. Do it to protect those with existing conditions and those who are about to lose their health care in the next four years. They don't need your head cold either.
