I've also been working on a series of Vanilla maps using LibreQuake's textures, and I think the LQ version of the Runic/Metal set might be one of my favorites to work with so far. I've been taking some time with this since I've been making these WinQuake compatible and testing there.

I've been removing old floor tile so that I can get new ones installed.

It's a very long story, but I got my Roku TV for free because Best Buy accidentally refunded me the money. I'm currently glad it happened that way, because I feel like Free is the cost every Roku TV should actually be.

I don't know if it'll be to your taste, but I recommend checking out Hainbach's work, since he tends to fiddle around with old equipment, and attempts to distort audio in various ways. He's got a Youtube channel as well where he demos old synths and tape decks.

I think the secret sauce is also old samplers. Kind of changes the sound when you can just get a clean audio sample of something into a DAW, even if you use filters to down-sample it.

Even back then, we had people sharing mixtapes and burned CD's if the mainstream wasn't good enough. Granted, it's nice to be able to explore yourself these days, rather than depending on that one weird classmate or coworker for new music.
