I would trust either of those people to do it way better than me, tbh

And so I decided I should use my privileged position such as it is to speak up for those who aren't as privileged. Gotta make sure you aren't drowning out their voices while you do it, but I don't think it's right for someone like me to expect trans people to fight all their own battles

I'm a cishet guy and I wrestled with talking on issues for the myriad of groups I don't belong to for a while. I eventually decided that the reality is that unless people who look like me are convinced to care about something, things won't change.

I'd disagree if he weren't a conservative who had worked hard to put us in exactly the situation we are in. Having hope is important. That guy can eat a phallus.

Susan Collins wants voters to believe she is a moderate Republican who stands up to Trump. But the truth is Collins only takes sides against the regime when she knows her vote won’t stop Trump.

In the Senate, Collins Often Defies Trump but Rarely Stops Him (Gift Article)
A New York Times analysis of Senator Susan Collins’s voting record shows that she frequently breaks with Republicans but more seldom changes an outcome.

The imagined "controversy" with Zohran Mamdani among an extremely fringe part of the Edgy Online Left shows that you can never, EVER pass their purity tests. No matter what you do it will never be enough. This is why we should accept that cohort are just de facto Republicans and move on.

Sometimes. If they don't, we typically offer them one. Most of the interviewers have one. Seriously, maybe the interview should be about the candidate's ability to do the job and whether the company fits them, and not about whether or not they have a drink.

Reason to Doubt @reasontodoubt.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
Yes. Why on Earth would I care what drink they brought with them? What does that have to do with whether the candidate can do the job? Hell, half the engineers in my department have Monsters on their desk everyday, if we didn't hire ppl who drank Monster we wouldn't have any engineers 😂

LMFAO -- Trump is holding an event at the White House right now but there's no audio because the press pool isn't there. The Newsmax host notes that this is an example of Trump's attacks on the press "backfiring just a little bit"

You're right, racism doesn't exist. I mean we did the civil rights thing! All these brown people who claim to be experiencing it are clearly exaggerating, and all the people who look at this imagine and are telling you what it means are clearly insane. Good job, bud, you cracked the case.

That's just, like, your opinion, man. There is no evidence that there is appetite for a new Speaker, and even LESS evidence that Republicans would choose *Massie*. He lost his primary! Seriously, this is a braindead take. It's not how anything works.

One person cannot remove the speaker of the house. One person can propose the vote, but it would require a majority. Democrats don't have the majority. Which means some Republicans would have to join all the Democrats for it to work. If AI is telling you something different then AI is lying.

Reason to Doubt @reasontodoubt.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
...are you unaware that Democrats are the minority party? They can't just "do" that. You'd need a majority of votes, and Democrats don't have them. Which means you'd need Republicans to do it. And they aren't going to. Please, learn how anything works.

High. He would have a lot of leverage to switch party affiliations if he was the deciding factor, and his political career as a Democrat is basically dead. He has zero incentive not to switch...well, aside from not helping fascists but I doubt he cares about that.

Who's "giving Congress a pass"? I'm just recognizing that the Republicans are fascist and expecting them to do anything for the good of the nation is a fool's errand. Democrats aren't perfect, and we should be hounding them to do the right thing once they're elected but we gotta do that part first

Tell yourself whatever you need to tell yourself to make you feel good about not opposing Trump. Congratulations, have a cookie. But when you have the opportunity to atone for your mistakes and vote against the fascists, I hope you'll do it next time. And if not, enjoy the lettuce.

Uh huh. Sure, champ. Whatever you need to say. Look, tell yourself whatever you want. But next time you have the ability to vote against the fascists, I hope you'll get off your ass and do it. Your life won't be impacted. Mine won't either. But others might. Maybe start caring about that.

But because I point out your arrogant refusal to lift a finger and your willingness to condemn hundreds of thousands of brown people worldwide to death to soothe your ego, I must be a "liberal". W/e. You aren't going to learn from your mistakes. You'll continue to be a useful idiot for fascists.

I think it's clear that my anger is right TF where it should be: With people like you who value your own feelings over the life and wellbeing of other living, breathing people. You didn't vote for Harris, great job. The hundreds of thousands of dead Brown people probably feel great about that.

Oh, cool. And after your amazing influence campaign, what you did was...not vote against fascism. Cool. Well, maybe next time you'll lift a finger when you're needed. Hope you can find your way to a ballot box in November and remember who the enemy is.

Tell yourself whatever you need in order to persist in the delusion it's not your fault. But you and I both know that if Trump hadn't been elected, everyone, INCLUDING Gaza, would be better. And that's partly your fault.
