Banning online spaces leaves teenagers with nowhere to go. It's always take, take, take. They took away youth centres and physical spaces, and now they want the online spaces too. For some people, they will find more risky ways to access content, for others, they will be left with nowhere to be.

If I'd been banned from the online spaces I used to socialise as a teenager, my life would have been radically and immeasurably worse. Banning social media is a pathetic alternative to regulating it. Tech companies collecting yet more private data to 'enforce' a ban will be fucking disastrous.

A key thing missing from Uni of Nottingham discourse I'm seeing - yes, 2700 people currently at risk, with over 600 expected to be made redundant. This doesn't include the 350 job losses last year, or the MARS redundancies the year before. All part of the same problem.
