David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 11/05/2026I need your help! I am removing this did:plc and migrating to my own did:web on Cloudflare. Removing as much of the centralised crap of atproto as I can. Can y’all please share and follow @rawkode.dev instead of this account?static.klipy.comPretty Please AgnesALT: Pretty Please Agnes 3125
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Tangled is an AppView and exactly what I am trying to avoid. 010
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Forgive my complete ignorance, but I always thought Nostr was blockchain based? 110
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 10/05/2026It’s the same with Tangled, great idea; but being locked into their AppView is not great and building your own isn’t easy. If I could just skip the global store and we all just connected our repos, it could be cool. I haven’t worked out if that can genuinely work though. 110
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Ahh. Thank you. Appreciate the info! So where do you hang out most? Still here? Mastodon? A N Other? I like atproto, but I prefer ActivityPub or RSS and I’m hoping there’s a better option 210
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Why isn’t there an ATProto app that can just let me subscribe directly to people’s repos and cut out all the AppView centralised bullshit? I think I’m leaning back to ActivityPub these days, I’m definitely using BlueSky less and less. 340

David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 02/05/2026@anirudh.fi are there any existing plans for this? Are issues the best way to discuss? 120
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 01/05/2026I really wish live streaming applications would support Firefox. Does anyone know what the gap is here? Why isn't Firefox supported? Still WebRTC stuff? 210
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 30/04/2026It was the ONLY issue on the Firefox bug tracker I'd actually subscribed too 😂 000
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026Anyone else just really tired, all the damn time? Like, with everything? 380

David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026Hi @tangled.org ! Any plans to be more monorepo native? Issues / Tags / PRs grouped by projects / services scoped within the monorepo? 140
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026Because issues are ephemeral. Fossil does this, btw. It's more important to store specs, PRDs, scenarios, etc. 060
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026The handlers should be idempotent though, where did you find problems? With the official controllers? 000
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026I use FoundationDB (Which has a global incremetal counter) and NATS JetStream for the watches 110
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026It doesn’t. It needs a complete architecture and I needed it to be fun; Rust was the right choice for me and in the long run most likely for this specific architecture. Removing the garbage collector, adopting virtual actors, swapping out etcd. It’s not really the same API server anymore anyway. 250

David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 29/04/2026I spent 12 weeks on mine, 100% conformance, AI coded but not vibe coded. And conformance was only step one, much bigger plans. 150

David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Ours would definitely be designed by a backend developer 260
David Flanagan @rawkode.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Very much designed by a backend developer, but I do love the atproto aspect. 160
