Oh yeah, it's all coming together! Likely going to sew hidden hooks (or snare) into the robe to allow the chain to sit wide like it is on the hanger. As you can see on me it hangs low. I don't want to use pins as raising the hood would reveal them and I do want to be able to remove the robe easy.

I purposefully did not tie the ends off as I wanted to thread the ends through each end sequence bead and once more through the brown bead so I could tie a few knots into the bead hole itself to hide the knot. I used a variant of the technique for Bakura's bracelets.

Waited an hour to harvest the nuggets then I did the same with the spheres. And viola! We go from brown to goooooold! It was then time to rethread the strand and the full chain came into spectacular golden view!

Once the mock up was complete I stripped the cord and got to coloring! I was running into the issue of smudging the paint so being a model kit builder/enthusiast I decided to reverse use my alligator clips for spray painting plastic. Worked like a charm!

WE ARE BACK! With #ThiefkingBakura 's neck chain. I cut a 45 in (1.14 meter) cord that I will only be using 37-38 in (0.93-0.96 meters) of and separated all my beads and got to work making a mock up of the whole thing. I intentionally used more beads than necessary and will remove some.

Need to double/triple layer it cause it's quite thin and if I have enough material left over I'll cover the straps as well. I'll also be using elastic inside to make sure it stays snug. TKB's Robe collar/neck chain. IIRC this was a detail added by fans and honestly? I dig it. A gold olive/rice bead sequences with a small gold sphere bead. I'm taking it a step further with color separation and will add a red disc bead. My main materials? Dark Wooden Olive and 8mm beads.

I ordered about 12 of these bracelets because their length is too small and I knew they were made of the stretchy material. The bracelets were the first thing I officially hand built. I cut these suckers up and crafted my first prototype. It was gangly as f but it wasn't bad!

Now for Raw Materials: The Shenti and Sash. While the robe came with a shenti and sash... it wasn't the right color. I first ordered two pairs of the Navy Blue bike shorts and then went to the Hobby store with them in hand to find a color match in fabric, thread and velcro (and was successful!)
