Here's a lovely pic of some of my hand-sewn, fabric art Jeremy Creatures. The ground is green fur and the background is a beautiful galaxy print fabric. One creature is a gray rock with two different sizes black eyes and a little frown. There's a tall ghost with about 35 black eyes of different sizes and a wide mouth full of sharp teeth. There's another spirit with many eyes, twirly head wisps, and an open mouth with sharp teeth. There's also a ghost with a tiny face, with two different sized eyes and a little frown. There's a black ghost with a gray moon face, their body covered with hand-embroidered stars and planets of various sizes and colors. There's a frowny white ghost featuring embroidered red flowers. There's a super tiny frowny white ghost, and a super tiny black ghost with four eyes and embroidered stars.

Switched the range on Layer D down an octave again to see how it sits now that the pedal bass is present and yeah D4 is the root note for the sequence instead of D5 It's much prettier I don't know what anyone may have expected with a song title like "anti-entropy", but it probably wouldn't be this

Second attempt at the sequence for "andóreiða" is done and oh man this is so much better. I put one more step in the Pitch Lane than in the Timing Lane, so the rhythm shifts across the notes as the sequence cycles. Landed on a delay in like, 5 minutes. This is beautiful and nice.

And my other idea is to route the cutoff frequency for the sequence through the motion sequencer lane without actually giving it any modulation intensity just to see if that gives me ratcheting *without* opening and closing the filter Fingers crossed

"andóreiða" has been re-initialized and is all set for me when I get back from a post-dinner walk Starting with the sequence this time, and the goal is to keep it much simpler from the angle of pitches, and *slower* Rocking a tempo of 50 bpm, and we'll see where it takes me

I can think of one other thing I’d like to do with the sequence layer, and that is simply dialing back how much the Step Sequence Lane (read: motion sequencer) is opening the filter The only thing I want yet out of this is just a touch more pluck

Building this has been a goddamn nightmare, but that’s more the FX choice than anything. The sequence itself, picking a tempo and rhythm, etc., that wasn’t bad at all I have it where I want it, and the more lullaby-like this becomes, the better Digging into the usual tricks for Layers B & C

Slowed the time parameter down just a touch, added the smallest amount of extra feedback, and whacked the timbre back into the negatives by just a little. W/D mix is only 35:65. This delay really grabs on and takes over the sound starting at about 10w/90d

In the hour since I posted this, I have been fighting with various delay presets across multiple delay types on the #wavestate trying to find one I like and that won't drive me nuts after a few loops of the sequences (and that doesn't turn it into a mess) Disco Shopping Beat is the winner

Never mind, it's not harder to get ratcheting nor is it really any different than the other two synths mentioned above. I was just thinking about it incorrectly. Got it figured out yay and I have ratcheting without having to get the amp envelope involved

Plucky Berlin School line is programmed in, and I have found rapidly that getting genuine ratcheting on the wavestate is somewhat harder than on the modwave and multi/poly, but got it there Major bonus, I don't find the sequence to be utterly boring Time to let it run while I have some lunch

Starting on "andóreiða" today on the #wavestate, and found a good sub-bass sound for Layer A without having to test like, *every* bass sample in the library before I was satisfied That's a good feeling and bodes well for the patch

Literal first steps with the Prophet 10 using just a couple of their pre-sets. However the signal is going through a Moogerfooger Phaser followed by Analog Delay and finally the BBD delay in the Wellspring. Such a rich, beautiful, warm analogue tone. This is my kind of sound.

Between the EQ'ing and a little bit of boosting down the chain of certain bands, you can *really* hear the effect the filter envelope swell in the drone layer of the new #modwave track is having on the LFOs affecting the Morph and Position parameters of the two drone oscillators

Spooky Icelandic word for the day with a bit of etymology attached könguló – spider (one of my favorite Icelandic words) Made up of: "köngu-" etymology of this is unclear, but one possibility is that it goes back to a Proto-Indo-European root that conveys "weaving" With me so far? Cool.

One translation of "ló" is "dustball" So "könguló" *could* be translated literally as "weaving dustball", and I absolutely love that
