i usually refuse to play rereleases of games but i am forever thankful for Wii games being released on modern consoles with good control schemes because i would rather have a slightly less authentic experience if it means i don't have to experience really bad wrist pain for days after playing

this mindset also just makes engaging with art 10x more fun than if i just said "wow that sucked" and moved on. just asking yourself why it was unsatisfying and jumping into that rabbithole often leads you to much more satisfying conclusions than if the art just gave you exactly what you wanted
