Happy ending to the @royalparkshalf.bsky.social half marathon today. Chilly start but a glorious bright and sunny finish 🌞!!! 1.38m 03s finish, 4 seconds off my target time...maybe next time 😁

AI is not the origin of data. It's a probabilistic regurgitation of words. It knows nothing, no judgment, no experiences. It hallucinates 100% of the time. Humans are flawed, but OUR experiences, OUR judgment leads to data. So we have to find a human at the origin of a truth or it's not a truth.

What I love about Western democracy is you can bung a political party £ 36 million earned from criminal activity & most media will continue to point at asylum seekers & migrant care workers with families as the barbarians at the gate we need to defend ourselves from 🙄.

Great to be at the launch of @jonmackenzie.bsky.social new book The Spectre of Pep last night. The room was full of friendship, warmth & connection. Its a wonderful & typically generous touch that Jon's book is dedicated to our son, Omar, who took his own life three years ago. # NUFC fans check out-

PIF aren't the disrupters we need them to be. They are working as the perfomative 'rebel' who don't really want major change. They just want a seat at the table, esp. with the increasing no of US investors. PIF appear to be built more for compliance, control and market reassurance than revolution.

I kind of feel it more like Sir Bobby: some key players disgruntled, questions about team buy- in, & some underwhelming results, leading to fan unrest. Imagine Twitter in those days! Both genuinely decent people, who's legacy will be remembered better than the ugliness of their departure

Better for everyone including Eddie that we move now. Fans were already talking about the first 10 games being critical to EH's future. That's huge pressure for anyone- let alone someone who seems to have almost singlehandedly held the club together for the last 5 years. Let's use what time we have.

Rashidfreed @rashidfreed.bsky.social · 30/07/2026
Its going to be tough for the new guy, but it was going to be tough watching EH trying to build a NUFC 2.0 in the current context- with the squad he has left, the abject leadership at the top, and in the face of whatever the cartel 6 keep throwing our way to rig the game!

Rashidfreed @rashidfreed.bsky.social · 30/07/2026
The timings not ideal, but thats real life! Its best that EH leaves now. (if) its a decision he feels he can own- he can leave with a large part of his legacy intact and the respect of the majority of fans. We've all been a bit worried about whether he can lead what looks to be fairly brutal reset!

The “Blue Labour” strategy still being promoted by some on Labour right is premised on being able to win social conservatives while holding on to social liberals. Failure state for this strategy is failing to win social cons while alienating social liberals. Here is a map of that failure state:

Its pretty clear that the 'rules' were never about the financial sustainability of our football clubs. They were intended to 'sustain' the historical privilege of the few. Sustainability is a slippery word! We can all see how the game is rigged, and who is rigging it.
