Made a view of FU Orionis with Spitzer and WISE data. No particular reason other than an interest in FU Orionis after reading the name in the Star Formation Newsletter. As always, more to read at the Flickr page: flic.kr/p/2sdQhtR
A star-infused nebula. The cloud of the nebula is mostly pale with very faint coloration, but there is a little swoosh at the top that is like a blue glint, and another blue bit near the right side that is part of a jet. The shape of a nebula is like a lumpy mountain turned on its side. Dozens of sparkling yellow and orange stars dot the image. Many fainter white and blue stars sprinkle the image. The star of note is the brightest one just left and below the center. It glows yellow.

The infographic includes a representation of Earth, the Moon, and the Orion spacecraft. A curvy line marks the expected flight path of the mission. Eight arrows along the flight path indicate Orion's direction. The arrows are numbered to correspond to the following steps.

Outbound transit (approximately 4 days)

Step 1: Launch from Kennedy Space Center on the Space Launch System.
Step 2: Raise manoeuvres set Orion on high Earth orbit. This step will involve one or more engine burns.
Step 3: Proximity operations. Crew take over controls to demonstrate manual handling of Orion.
Step 4: Life systems checkout in high Earth orbit.
Step 5: Translunar injection, which sets Orion on course to the Moon. This step will involve one or more engine burns.
Step 6: Lunar fly-by about 10,400 km beyond the far side of the Moon. This step will involve one or more engine burns.
Return transit (approximately 4 days)

Step 7: Inbound flight. This step involves one or more engine burns.
Step 8: Re-entry and splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.
On the infographic, it says that the mission duration will be approximately 10 days, and that the distance travelled will be over 1 million kilometres.

Molly Reilly was a trailblazing Canadian pilot. She was the first female Canadian pilot to reach the rank of captain, the first to fly in the Arctic professionally and the first to become a corporate Canadian pilot. This is her amazing story. 🧵 1/10
Black-and-white photograph of Molly Reilly seated in the cockpit of an aircraft, turned slightly to her left and looking out the side window. She wears a long-sleeved top and has short, light-colored hair. The instrument panel in front of her is filled with round gauges, switches, and dials, and the control yoke is visible near her right hand. The cockpit ceiling and window frame are visible above and beside her.
