As the eldest daughter of 10 and an educator for over a decade, I have learned that you can only relay the information you cannot force people to engage with it. I also know that a lot of times when there’s confusion automatically doing the research is not the default for many people.

Man...this topic was the last straw that ended my relationship with my twins' father. The fact that he didn't understand why I couldn't work two jobs, breast feed two babies, and finish my degree at the same time.

Seeking more speculative fiction written by Black femmes. I've always wanted to tell supernatural stories. Prior to my MFA most of my writing was speculative. I'm grateful to the MFA in a nebulous way I might one day be able to explain. But rn, I'm trying to write and read differently.
