The UAW supports Medicare for All because everyone deserves quality healthcare. M4A would also strengthen our hand at the bargaining table to fight for better wages, time off, and retirement security for every UAW member. We ALL win with Medicare for All.
UAW graphic: "Medicare for All: We All Win. Yes, union members win, too - that's why the UAW supports Medicare for All."

— Covers everyone with no cost at the point of service
— Saves workers' money
— Gives workers freedom in our health decisions
— Guarantees comprehensive coverage
— Lowers costs, saves time, improves efficiency system-wideUAW graphic, "Medicare for All: By the Numbers."

Fact: Medicare for All would save 68k lives a year while saving our health system $650 billion annually.

🚨NEW: This is horrific. Musk & DOGE closed the specialist unit at Yale tracking down Ukrainian children kidnapped & stolen by Russia. HOWEVER, it now emerges the entire database may have been DELETED, destroying years of research needed to find missing children. If so, there should be arrests.
Washington Post headline: Trump terminates program tracking mass abductions of Ukrainian children
Observers fear the move has compromised evidence of war crimes by Russian officials and will hinder efforts to rescue thousands of missing Ukrainian children.

The story is accompanied by a picture of an empty playground. At that time, the researchers lost access to a trove of information, including satellite imagery and biometric data tracking the identities and locations of as many as 35,000 children from Ukraine.
Most alarming to U.S. lawmakers briefed on the matter is the suspected deletion of the research lab's database amid the scramble to comply with the administration's termination notice -
an action likely to set back efforts to find the missing children and hold to account those responsible for their abduction.
"We have reason to believe that the data from the repository has been permanently deleted," a group of lawmakers led by Rep. Greg Landsman (D-Ohio) warned in a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. "If true, this would have devastating consequences."

The government broke the law, violated a court order, and lied about it, and now it is telling the court "you have no right to make us reveal our misconduct to the world." These people need to be put in their place fast or this kind of criminality will continue nonstop for 4 years!

Chilling details from a lawsuit against DOGE by USADF about how much of a lie DOGE's "IT modernization" is (the best way to describe it is if someone comes from the cable company and then says because he's in your house, he's allowed to do a home invasion) storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
On February 20, 2025, Chris Young, a senior member of the Department
of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team met with the USADF leadership team, including me, at headquarters. Young explained that he was there to introduce DOGE to the Agency. He also announced that two software engineers would be assigned to the Agency to modernize the Agency’s IT systems and create efficiencies in our operations. During discussions, I stated to Mr. Young that modernizing our IT systems and databases was welcome news and that we fully supported the mission ofusing technology to create a more efficient workforce. Mr. Young spoke about his experience in Africa as a child of missionaries and stated that he has seen first-hand the many problems that USADF is trying to address. He mentioned that due to the urgency of responding to the President’s Executive Order aimed at USADF, the two engineers would come to the Agency the next day on February 21st.
4. On February 21, Ethan Shaotran, Jacob Altik, and Nate Cavanaugh
arrived at USADF. Shaotran and Cavanaugh introduced themselves as IT personnel from GSA. Altik stated that he was a lawyer from the White House Personnel Office. They explained that we needed to immediately sign a memorandum of understanding for their detail assignment.
5. Once the MOU was signed, Altik explained the true purpose of the
meeting, which was to provide USADF leadership with DOGE’s interpretation of the “minimum presence and function” required by USADF’s statute. DOGE read the statute to mean: 1) only the USADF Board and President/CEO are statutorily required, 2) only one or two grants funded by private sector partnerships are required, and 3) all other personnel/employees therefore needed to be eliminated under the Executive Order.
6. Altik stated that his next step was to present a RIF plan (where all
USADF staff would be fired) to the board for approval by Monday, February 24. Altik threatened that if the Board didn’t approve the plan, the Board would be dismissed.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.? In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently

Canadian MP Charlie Angus: Donald Trump, you’re a disgrace as a human being. While you may have gotten the presidency, you’re still a disgrace. You’re a convicted felon, a pervert, and you treat your allies with disdain while you kiss up to Putin. Anytime, anywhere, Donald—we will take you on.

Biden’s presidency concludes tomorrow, but his final week has been nothing short of historic: 2,500 commutations and a ceasefire deal between Israel and Gaza mark the end of his consequential term.

Trump hated TikTok (because China) until it helped him win an election (as even he acknowledges) and now he’s going to save it and take a victory lap. So he’ll have X, TikTok, Insta, and Facebook all working on his behalf. That’s a big difference between now and 2017.

So Trump’s Deportation Czar Tom Homan says it’s impossible to dramatically increase deportations with the current funding levels for DHS, so he needs a lot more money from Congress before he can do it. Which is exactly what the bipartisan border bill Trump killed was all about.

He orchestrated a coup. It failed. He was a convicted felon. He rose to power on a wave of divisive propaganda and hateful anti-immigrant rhetoric. He promised to make things great again. He threatened to annex his neighbors. I'm referring, of course, to Adolf Hitler.

Thirty-five-year-old Porsha Ngumezi’s case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.
