taking your time is rewarded when you occasionally see the deranged scrawling of the long-dead colonists. the same spark here as the beloved L4D2 safe room analog message board

graffiti in Overflow depicting a crude guy with... oh my god, his ass is visible. a guy sitting on a toilet. a lopsided face smiles behind him. text reads "NO PRIVACY"

marathon (2026) is as fun as you make it. season reset has me connecting with and interacting with the systems more. i'm shopping for items to fund my WSTR schemas. i'm losing the WSTRs. this is orders of magnitude more fun than playing Cryo Archive Ranked with two random nervous, quiet men was

bungie misses every now and again but a comms banned crew fill is a fair indicator of the character of their soul

praying that all this extra stuff serves to bolster the core extraction-survival mode (or, you know, keep it alive) and that they don't pivot all of their resources to catering to PvE people. i think they'll do right.

donkey kong [country] on GBC has the juice. it also has... an alternate soundtrack? given the audio channel limitations it makes sense, especially given how SNES DKC has an atmospheric music direction at times. it's good, though!

they won't tell you this but you can befriend everyone on Perimeter and get em to pose up on some crates #Marathon

Several runners post up on some boxes on North Relay. They were easily flattered by saying things like "hey, you guys look tuff up there. Get a picture"

welcome to the club! the music is so wild, too, especially the salmon run and singleplayer stuff.

those perimeter balloons were the first thing to make me stare at the environment design. the lore's so clever, but the way they lead your eye from the near ones to the far ones to the incomplete one... total genious......

Another wonderful gouache painting of @househouse.com's Big Walk made by @celeste-s.bsky.social. Before going on a long walk, we sat and singed for a whole day. Despite some lag making us do an involuntary canon, it'll long stay in my mind.

if replying to this post gets me in the rain world side of bluesky then here it is: i was one of those early fans and it's so strange to see this game continue to be beloved, supported, and--like you said, vindicated plot-wise. it might be my all-time favorite game.
