Just got done watching the Ghost in the Shell (1995) movie in theaters and it was so cool seeing it on the big screen! It was also extremely fun rewatching it after the new anime and all the others too! Togusa is still the goat and Batou is so hopelessly in love with the Major and I love him for it

There needs to be an axiom called Younger's law: if you're a parent who runs to Christian nationalist orgs or Fox News to claim you weren't abusive to your trans kid after the state took them away, you are in fact abusive by virtue of nationalizing the story for propaganda.

Every time one of these stories comes out, it's shown that the parents were actually abusive. There is an asymmetry where the parents are given a platform by Christian nationalist orgs and Fox News while the state cannot discuss any details due to privacy. So the narrative is set by the parents.
