Emi Sakura's post about PAC is breaking my heart

The first time I spoke with him was in Ireland in 2018. When you're living in an English-speaking country, Japanese suddenly reaches your ears in a startling way. Our conversations always started with his "Otsukaresamade-su." Backstage, I wouldn't sense his presence at all, but then those words would arrive right by my ear like the wind. And so I'd search for him. There's no English phrase that translates it just right—its meaning encompasses hello, long time no see, glad to see you, good work, goodbye, good night, see you later, and all sorts of other things rolled into one. I think it's the kind of greeting that comes from the way he's confronted pro wrestling in Japan. It's time. As always, I grab my bag and climb into the car. I can't believe the show goes on. Today and from here on out, forever, I know I'll keep straining to listen. Thank you, PAC.

Trans athletes are a tiny % of all athletes. Fewer than 10 out of >500k US college athletes identify as trans. I don’t hear anything abt them haze raping. Yet, 1 in 5 women will be raped during their time in college. How about bitching against frat houses who drug & gang rape women & get away w/it?

Just realized that I’ve been marveling at PAC for almost 20 years now & watching him perform regularly for longer than my son’s been alive… He’s such a big part of my wrestling fandom from PWG to Dragongate to NXT to 205Live to AEW. If I remember correctly the first actual "feud" in AEW started during the press conference when Hangman was talking and PAC made a surprise appearance and interrupted him. In any event, he was part of that show. Obviously who he was as a person comes first, but he is in the DNA of AEW.
