Annual tradition and absolute highlight for everyone interested in Japanese cinema. Opening night at @nipponconnection.com was a blast, and Fujiko by director Taichi Kimura was an incredibly strong opener for the festival. #nipponconnection #cinema #japan With @rainbownerdguy.bsky.social

This website routinely *cannot* tell what is adult media. Tech always wants to solve the problem of community with an algorithm. But community isn't the problem. Coexistence is easy. Letting the algorithm blot out profiles is not a solution.

Has it been 10 years already? 🥹 It's a shame the sequel never happened. The original show helped me through a very difficult time in my life and will always have a special place in my heart. Astounding animation quality, wholesome characters and uplifting narrative - top 5 in my gay media list.

the feminine urge to draw genderswapped #Yakuza 🚬🩸 #龍が如く#art

Illustration of gender-swapped Goro Majima and Kazuma Kiryu (Yakuza series)
Majima leans back, balancing her baseball bat on her shoulders, and giving her signature maniacal glare to the viewer. Blood stains cover the bat, and splatters can be seen all over her torso.
To the right of Majima, Kiryu glances to her left, with a cigarette balancing on her lips. She leans on one leg with a relaxed disposition, one hand in her pocket, and the other holding a zippo lighter, with wounds on each knuckle.
Recreations of their snake and dragon tattoos fill the blank space behind them.

I'm miserable today... I had to re-home one of our cats because they just couldn't get along with each other anymore. I've had cats for 40 years, but that never happened to me before. I've had this cat for 13 years. He's my baby boy. We've been through a lot. I did what I think is best for him.

Fun fact: They did this exact same thing in 3D with the characters in Vagrant Story All you have to do is duplicate the model, offset it by a few onscreen pixels, and set it to fullbright/tinted. The lit character model hides the polygons of the secondary mesh, giving a nice rim light

A character from Vagrant Story showing a bit of rim light towards an in-game torch

Another character showing a warm rim light on their back in a Gothic environment
