I can‘t figure out why, but I have never seen news stories about how oil rigs hurt whales. Only wind farms do that. And only solar panels have a recycling problem. Gas stations are fine.

Canadian Geese are assholes sometimes. Hubby comes from Liverpool, and when he took one of our older kids to the park, he gave him some bread to give the geese. One of them chased the wee fella all the way of the up hill, making a terrible racket. Don’t mess with a Canadian Goose. Ever.

Trump knows if there is a heaven, he won’t be going. He has said it openly. He seems to have accepted that he was put on this earth to wreak havoc. A lot of really scary people see themselves as equalizing on the earth. You have the Saints and you have the Devils … and they accept their role.

We have had a long winter out here. Birds are coming back out, and water is flowing. We don’t plant until the May long weekend, because there could still be frost at night … but anything in the +C, is warm right now. I think I heard a robin, and Canadian Geese are landing in the river.

Would it have been so much worse if it had been a nuke? Consider the fact that birth deficiencies and rates of leukemia and cancer in Iraq, post 2003- invasion, are worse than what was observed in Hiroshima. In Japan, rates of leukemia rose by 660% in the years following the bomb. In Falluja, it increased by 2,200%. The toxicity of war has never been greater, and we are in no way reckoning with
the scope of the horror that's been unleashed.

We published the entire list of cuts here.

These are the groups that make a society worthwhile. They provide needed supports for people facing crises and need. They advance science and lead us to better understand ourselves. They keep us healthy and intellectually active. They help us express our culture and have fun.

The creation and building of these groups was 50 years in the making. They’ve helped Nova Scotia define itself, brought us together.

It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP.
