Nostalgia tinted glasses and all that, but McDonald's were so much cooler back then. Now they are so sterile and uninviting (which is the purpose I suppose). It's sort of crazy that McDonald's were a big part of communities (birthday parties, lending out the big jugs with orange drink for events).

These were 100% for me. 1986 Topps is my one of my pc things, so after someone asked me to make a card (not 1986 inspired, ironically) I thought "dang, I could do like archives/35th anniversary type cards to add to my '86 collection".

Our area had a big "Save Women's Sports" push because a waifish trans girl was pretty good at track. It was a whole thing & Trump ended up weighing in. She also played volleyball (not great I might add) & a whole bunch of adults made it about them and forfeited matches, etc.
