We are proud to congratulate Bob Brooks on his victory in the Democratic primary for PA-07. Bob built an unprecedented political coalition that overcame over $1.5M in Republican spending trying to defeat him. We need more working people like Bob in the halls of Congress.

We are thrilled to congratulate @chrisrabb.com on his victory. The question in this race was not whether we would elect a Democrat, but what kind of Democrat we would choose. The people of Philadelphia made their choice clear: bold, working-class leadership, and an end to the broken status quo.

Jeff Yass has avoided paying at least $1 billion in income tax that could've helped keep schools around the US open, but he'd rather use his wealth to undermine public schools (in a city where he doesn't live) by wooing kids away to Catholic schools with scholarships he's funded.

Billionaires Jeff and Janine Yass are offering full scholarships to students from closing Philly schools
The scholarship, which offer students a chance to enroll in a 16 private schools, has drawn fire from those who say it's designed to further erode the public school system.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
