My parents wouldn't buy us sugar cereals, except one time they let us have Boo Berry because we were on vacation. So I have to go with Boo Berry at number 1 and after that idk.

Opened my email this morning to find that my health insurance company wants me to send them some documents and my financial planner wants me to call him, but what I really want to do is stand on some train tracks.

Although you'd think he would know he's constantly pretending because how can you be that bad at something and not know?? "What kind of donuts do I want? Uh ... uh ... the normal kind. That normal people get. I am very normal. Ha ha!"

He's always changed himself if he thought he could benefit from it. His name, his religion, everything he claims to believe in. By now, I think he automatically shapeshifts for whoever he's playing to. He probably no longer realizes when he's doing it. An unprincipled empty person.

I believe this probably happened because it's so boring. JD only thinks it's interesting and amusing because he doesn't know what normal interactions with other humans are like.

I’ve become obsessed with the disappearing night sky. I miss going outside wherever I was and seeing the stars! Glad to be able to write about this for @us.theguardian.com. Thanks to the kind readers who have already sent me emails about their own night skies. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

The night sky is getting 10% brighter every year. We’re forgetting what darkness feels like
If more cities start regulating outdoor lighting, we humans could make the environment better for all living creatures

Nordstrom periodically sends me email about what's on sale and it's always stuff like this. Meanwhile, if you added up how much I spent on everything I'm wearing right this minute, it would be about $17 and the brand name Hanes appears more than once.
Isabel Marant boots $850
Spinelli Kilcollin ring $1,400
Givenchy dress $3,300
Burberry shirt $395

Since New York Bagel Boys closed, you cannot get a decent bagel in Seattle. Other things you can’t get here are a good haircut or a cute raincoat. You can’t get a cute raincoat in SEATTLE. Fall arrives and it’s just a bunch of unattractive people eating feeble bread.

The plain bagel I just ate must have been sitting next to a raisin bagel at some point because it smelled enough like cinnamon that it also tasted like cinnamon, which I can reliably inform you does not pair well with salmon cream cheese. Also it lacked sufficient chewiness.

You did mention that, and I thought it was nice. Now, banks will not only not give you coffee, they might try to charge you for talking to a teller instead of using the ATM.

Old English predates Shakespeare, who wrote in Early Modern English, by about 800 years. Olde English is not a language; it is a malt liquor.

After frequently supporting Mr. Trump's agenda, she has downplayed her alignment with Mr. Trump in the last stretch before the election. She stayed off the stage at his midterm convention in Dallas last week, in contrast with most other red-state Republican Senate nominees in tossup races.

Asked last week if a vote for her would be a vote for Mr. Trump, she would not say, adding only that "a vote for me is a vote for common-sense policies." In a campaign ad released Tuesday, she highlighted her work with Democrats as well as the president. And she is notably not attending a rally on Friday headlined by vice President JD Vance in Council Bluffs, Iowa, her campaign said, citing previously scheduled events.

The worst part of Bonta caving on the Paramount merger is that it's a big flashing signal to every other company that there is no antitrust enforcement in America and you can bully your way into getting whatever you want. It's a monumentally bad decision.

When Obama was running in '08, a Republican woman I know said that she thought health care reform was unimportant and she didn't see why she should care about it. After being given a very long list of reasons why she should care, she said, genuinely perplexed, "but I HAVE health insurance."

Why don't bakeries sell normal muffins? Bakery muffins are either 600-calorie monsters or they're mini muffins. Don't even show me a mini muffin. They could make standard sized muffins. They have standard sized cupcakes. They have the technology.

I know I still have my kindergarten and 3rd grade class photos but I need to dig out the photo albums to see if I have any others. I particularly remember the kindergarten one because bad hair and weird smile, which set the stage for the rest of my life in photos.

If someone rolled their great-grandpa into the bank to take out all their money, and the elderly person could not make that transaction on their own without the grandkid’s direction, the bank would not allow them to make a withdrawal. The teller would be mandated to report potential elder abuse.

This is going to hit the fixed-income elderly who've lived for decades in their homes with oil furnaces the hardest. They can't afford to modernize their heating and now they're going to struggle to pay for heat this winter and almost certainly next year as well.

BUT, the Court in its unsigned opinion not only ruled against the government on the equities, it also found that the government was not likely to succeed on the merits of having the power to put these rules in effect.
