Ban Kids From Social Media And They’ll Just Chat In Public Radio Podcast Comments
Eleven months ago, I wrote about what I thought was a truly fascinating find: that some kids appeared to be using some random old NPR podcasts on Spotify as a personal chat room to get around various restrictions. It was mentioned, somewhat in passing, on the "How to do Everything" podcast last October, where someone...

A bit patronising.
Veronica Weir, who has 26 years' experience as a driving instructor thinks the law change is "terrific" and that young drivers can be irresponsible.

"It's been a long time coming, about 15 years in the pipeline.

"Kids today just think it's a video game, and if they crash, there's no consequences, there's no ripple effect, they'll just brush themselves off and drive off again," she said.

Trial of live facial recognition in London stations ends with a false positive and no arrests
Freedom of information request finds six-month trial cost £320,000, used almost 100 police hours and led to just one – incorrect – alert A six-month trial of live facial recognition (LFR) technology in London’s railway stations that cost more than £320,000 and almost 100 hours of police officers’ time ended in one false match against a watchlist of suspects and no arrests. More than half a million faces were scanned between February and July this year in some of the capital’s busiest transport hubs during the British Transport Police (BTP) trial of the surveillance technology, which aimed to help catch offenders and people breaching court orders. CCTV and monitoring
Recommendation 1

All cots and incubators in all neonatal units should be fitted with baby monitors (in-cot cameras with livestreaming video), so that parents can observe their baby remotely at any time. The funding for this should be centrally managed and ring-fenced, to ensure consistency and implementation across all neonatal units at speed. By 31 March 2027, NHS England should set out a roadmap for how this will be implemented.
