Productive meeting with Baroness Merron and campaigner @hopevirgo.bsky.social to discuss eating disorder prevention and treatment. Eating disorder cases are skyrocketing- yet treatment is often underfunded and misunderstood. I will keep pushing the government to make eating disorders a priority.

Being disabled is not a choice. It’s not a “lifestyle”. It’s not sitting at home all day enjoying life. It’s being disabled. It’s having life-limiting g health conditions. It’s constant pain, debilitating symptoms, and never being able to truly enjoy life to the fullest.

Absolutely horrified that a government we all thought would be marginally better is choosing to cut benefits for the most vulnerable members of society in the middle of the cost of living crisis. Disabled people are already living in poverty. Immoral and wrong. #disabilitybenefits
