1 in 7 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’m continuing my call for better access to screening and for all risk factors to be considered. We must ensure every woman can access the screening and support she needs.

Brexit was a disaster. While Labour are considering options, people are suffering the consequences every day. If Burnham wants a way forward, let me help: 🔶 Negotiate a new UK-EU customs union 🔶 Re-join the single market That's our @libdems.org.uk plan to put Britain back at the heart of Europe.

BUUK Infrastructure is leading the way in building new heat networks across our country. Heat networks have the power to unlock more reliable, resilient and affordable forms of energy for consumers. I will continue to press the Government to keep pace with emerging forms of clean energy.

Fresher's Week should be about making friends and memories, not fearing for your safety. I'm sickened by reports of plans to spike new students & support the University investigating this. Anyone caught planning or carrying out these crimes should be prosecuted. We won't tolerate it in our city.

We’ve lost huge amounts of social housing over the years. 🏠 That’s a big driver behind the homelessness we see in our city. We urgently need the Government to support us to build more social homes and tackle the issues pushing people into homelessness. Everyone deserves a safe place to live.

It was wonderful to visit Bath Artists' Studios! 🎨 As an artist myself, I’m passionate about helping art and creativity thrive. We’re so lucky to have a space in Bath dedicated to this, and to offering children, students, and others the chance to get involved in art.

I've written to the Government calling for barriers facing green technology companies to be removed. The South West is home to incredible businesses leading the way on clean energy, like Luthmore, whose electric combi boiler could cut bills and reduce emissions. We must back these innovators.

Britain is wasting clean energy. Huge amounts of renewable power are being switched off while consumers foot the bill for millions in constraint payments. ADE is working to make flexible demand electricity a reality, helping to balance supply and harness the full potential of renewable energy.

Insurers must consider the risks they create — not just the ones they insure. Major insurers are protected from flood losses by a Government‑backed scheme, yet many are investing in coal, oil & gas projects which are driving climate change and worsening flooding. They can’t have it both ways.

Many men & boys struggle with their place in today’s world as traditional gender roles shift. At @libdems.org.uk conference we discussed the importance of ensuring boys have strong male role models to look up to, & how we can give fathers more equal chances to be involved in family life.

Climate change is an emergency — we should call it what it is. I’ve written to the BBC urging them to be transparent in their coverage about this threat & how people can prepare. They must challenge those denying climate change as rigorously as those calling for low‑carbon energy policy.

It was a pleasure to meet the new EU Ambassador, Jukka Salovaara, at Lib Dem Conference. Brexit is not working here in the UK for countless businesses, universities, young people and touring artists. Our Government isn’t ambitious enough to put Britain back at the heart of Europe. We Lib Dems are.

Social media creators are profiting from misogyny. Covertly filmed videos of women on nights out - taken without their consent - attract huge engagement online, fuelled by misogynistic abuse. We cannot allow perpetrators to profit. It is time to tackle misogyny head-on and make it a hate crime.
