yeah, the vocal cue is enough for him. he's like mega smart. but I bet your dog could also learn it. if she is food motivated, try giving the command and then marking and rewarding. over time you can remove the marker and food.

whenever I ask my malinois for a kiss he licks my face and gently bites my nose, so I have to tell him, "not a bite, a kiss" and then he just gives a kiss. it has become a game for him.

a squirrel didn't run away from me when I was in the garden, so I slowly approached and hand fed it a tomato. then it came back again for more. I think I made a friend. I left it an offering of more tomatoes in the crook of one of my tree branches for later.
