I'd love to know the thinking behind the statement that Colin Baker reprised the role of the Sixth Doctor in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, as made at the start of the Sixth Doctor's team's attempt at the Escape Room.

One thing I love about @500songspodcast.bsky.social is that you literally can't predict where an episode will begin or where it will go. The episode I'm up to - 146, on Good Vibrations - starts with a literal history of the word 'song' and an attempt to raise Lenin as a zombie.

I left it far too late, but I'm finally booked for Thought Bubble. Not driving for the first time this decade. Flying in to Manchester from Brussels, training across to Leeds then Harrogate, and returning via Munich due to the lack of direct flights that permit for the post-Sunday hangover.

Most of the time Popbitch is a fun read, but fuck me does this sort of ‘aha, I am a smart person’ story undermine that. How dare Keanu not live on the streets while performing in Waitng for Godot.
Excerpt from Popbitch

When Keanu Reeves played a tramp in Waiting for Godot on Broadway earlier in the year, he stayed in distinctly un-homeless surroundings: Linda Evangelista's Manhattan flat. Rent: $45,000 a month.

I've been reposting about Dan Boultwood as he's someone whose art I'd been a fan of, whose projects I had actively supported. He was one of the very first people I ever met in comics, at an MCM in 2010 (there were two).

"What is this?! What is this supposed to be? I like Matt Fraction, Sarah Graley, John Allison, AND Becky Cloonan but who are these other three people? Is this an interview? Some sort of game?
Psychological torture? Whatever it is, it's a laugh!" is what you'll be thinking as you join podcasters Fraser Geesin aka Gary Lactus (SILENCE., Listen Through The Brown Window), Dan White aka The Beast Must Die (SILENCE!, Savage Beast) and Al Kennedy (House to Astonish, SILENCE! sometimes but not as much as the other two) in an experience that's hard to sum up in a brief blurb but is predominantly daft questions, ill-advised challenges and bad decisions. Oh, and it's about comics.

Thread on Dan Boultwood's victim who waives her anomity to talk about the experience. For those who didn't see the original reporting, this is the only significant coverage. Maddie says how she's disappointed there wasn't more public introspection and conversation over this, and she's right.

The fun of starting any series of The Amazing Race is seeing just how many red flags someone is willing to throw up in their introduction video. I’m on 6, and I’m pretty sure ive seen the worst person ever - his partner is already trying to placate and excuse him before the race even starts.

It’s very simple. A reality TV host became dictator because he turned down a role for Sharknado 4 and that’s why the king of outer space, who cheats at Diablo, got to kill Africa. Now the economy is controlled by a sex cult that has something to do with Harry Potter fanfic because of robots.

I'm partial to this one
Professor X asks a girl, "what is your mutant power?"

Girl replies: "I can guess how many pulls to turn a ceiling fan off on the first try!"

She points up and says: "3 pulls"

Professor X stands up and pulls 3 times. After the third pull the fan turns off.

Professor X: "Yeah thats cool and all, but not really a super power..."

Girl: "Yeah I was jut kidding, I can heal paraplegics"

Professor X, still standing: "Oh my god"

I recently finished reading Donald Cotton's novelisation of The Romans. Delightfully inventive, barely interested in anything other than the broad strokes of the plot, a very, very funny. I'm very tempted to get the audiobook just to hear the multiple narrators take it on.
