So I recently ran a mini-campaign of D&D 3.5e out of interest, and was surprised by how fun it was. It highlighted how much 5e's design decisions are ones that sideline all of D&D's strongest elements (tactical combat, tricky dungeons, i.e. the titular fucking dungeons AND dragons).
![Quote from an article in The Guardian regarding 'Southport killer' Axel Rudakubana, which reads as follows.
Responding to the move to Broadmoor, Mark Fairhurst, the national chair of the POA union, which represents prison, correctional, and secure psychiatric workers, said his members believed he was “playing the system” so he could move to a more comfortable environment.
He said: “[Rudakubana] is not mentally unwell. He is playing the system and is nothing more than evil. He should spend his entire sentence in solitary confinement staring at four walls.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:2jcexv7437yhvkku54niszxe/bafkreigpg3l35ds5haicuufap6ptw27db2ngebb7eefj6l7xut5hoqw2hm)
