Whenever schools close for severe/ dangerous weather like today’s extreme heat, there are people who say it’s pathetic, and that they walked to schools and spent days without air conditioning during heat waves and came out just fine.

I was in early high school when things began to creep up, but it got bad in college. For some reason a portion of grad school was fine? And then it got worse than ever after. Then I finally pursued a diagnosis when I learned that there were more to sleep disorders than I originally knew.

I love when my Fitbit is proud of me exercising where it thinks I am swimming very short distances but in reality I am doing dishes 🥲. And then when I do things I would consider exercise, like speed walking for at least 10 minutes, it often does not recognize it if I don’t manually select it 😅.

Way too many times. I remember being excited when I was hospitalized for acute pancreatitis in 2021 because it was the first time I felt completely heard and cared for by doctors. It provided the fuel I needed to be the driver of my health journey no matter how much doctors dismiss my concerns.

Since I was 2, I would go to the library so often and my family became really close with the amazing children’s librarians! The storytime, crafts, reading challenges, festivals and then volunteering and tutoring others.

I’d been waiting to get my next #tattoo for a while now to honor my childhood dog Cosmo but didn’t know what would be best. My talented friend Alphie is an apprentice at Immortal Tattoo Co in #BallstonSpa, NY and once I mentioned it to him, he jumped right on it! I absolutely love my new ink 🐾🪐☀️🌜.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation. I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

Long term SSRI user here. Autism? I was autistic long before I was prescribed my med. Asthma? Had that until I was 9 (pre-SSRI) Of course there are risks though (for all meds), as sped through in commercials. But we also know people who rely on meds to live. And #mentalhealth meds do save lives.

These were my heart rate zone minutes from Tuesday, when I ended up in the ER for what mainly was dehydration from the stomach flu. Way to go me😂. Also, shoutout to my care team… Ellis Hospital in #Schenectady often is known for bad experiences but this visit was exceptional.

Oh my gosh, It’s just after 5am and I somehow got myself to pause the audiobook of #BoySwallowsUniverse by Trent Dalton at 96% completion. I came across this book thanks to the 2025 #StoryGraph onboarding challenge and look forward to checking out the mini series after I finish the audiobook today!
