I think theres an interesting reason such a book doesnt exist yet - we still don't know how quantum algorithms work intuitively! Just look at the popularity of variational quantum algorithms - which kick the intuition problem over to AI, and this paper by Shor dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/...

Philosophers have imagined that when these linear combinations are measured and we only observe one of the outcomes that the others also happen in 'parallel universes' - but this is a non scientific, non testable belief that somebody just made up one day

The issue is how you interpret the math. All they we know is we can express the different possibilities of measurement as a linear combination of outcomes.

I'm not aware those two things are substantially different 😂😂😂 The popularization of many worlds in literally a million modern shows and movies is why they're lying to us about Willow - it's a lie that will connect to a lot of people because we like stuff like Rick and Morty, spiderverse, etc
