I love these little button stamps and so do my students for projects. They are just fun to use. But, I don't know how to re-ink them when they start to dry out. Is this possible? Has anyone done it? I'm thinking of just going at them with an eyedropper and some stamp ink? #crafts #artsAndCrafts

Button stamps that show little icons to represent the weather. They are being used to stamp a calendar.

I'm about to round out my #retrocomputing collection with a SPARCstation IPX. And of course it should have a network connection, but it only has an AUI port, and I don't have a suitable transceiver right now. So my brain immediately went down the rabbit hole of whether it would make sense to […]

[Post-surgery wound care] Four days on and my toe seems mostly healed. No bleeding or drainage anymore, though it's still pretty tender. Only doing one bandage change a day now. Starting to get a *little* more active; gonna go out for some minor errands tomorrow and see how it feels.

FWIW, I tried sethkush's keygen 🏴‍☠️ and it gave me exactly the same keys as the ones I got from RPF so I know (or at least I'm reasonably confident) that they're correct. I think this is a "later" problem. Don't feel like tinkering excessively with something that's currently a fairly important […]

Decided to buy codec keys for my #RaspberryPi 1B. No immediate need, more of a FOMO thing - it's already over a decade old and I imagine they won't be selling them forever. For some reason they don't seem to be working. I still get "disabled" when I run `vcgencmd codec_enabled [WVC1,MPG2]` […]

Anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot an old Gameport joystick? It was tested working on WinXP, but when I took it home Win95 said it wasn't connected properly. Do I need to get a second joystick/soundcard, or are there other things I can do to test? Eg. how can I check the gameport device […]

Messaged the seller and they said the delay was because they were hit by last week's hurricane. Which is at least reasonable. They ended up refunding it, so I bought another one from a different seller. Third time's the charm?

[Surgery (foot)] Had an ingrown toenail clipped today, then they put some stuff on it to kill part of the nailbed. Lots of fun! They said to minimize activity for the next two days, then to soak it in epsom salt twice a day for the next 2 weeks. Thankfully I had some.

A little #RetroComputing curiosity: the Sound Blaster AWE64 drivers for Win9x work perfectly on the SB AWE32 (even the stripped-down OEM SB32 model!), which allows you to use newer soundfonts and get all the extra features that were supposedly added to the AWE64. The hardware is near-identical.
