Having a real bitch of a time getting external displays to work with my laptop under #Debian. With Intel/Nvidia hybrid graphics on it doesn't work at all, and with just the Nvidia chip it works until I try to start KDE, then it crash-loops.

Curious... remember about a year ago when I was having problems with VRAM corruption on my S3 ViRGE/GX2 AGP? Just for the heck of it, I tried it in another machine. It works perfectly in that one! I think my 440BX mobo has a funky AGP bus. I want to do a few more experiments with it.

Funny to see how much variability there is from game to game on the S3 ViRGE. Descent II is a slideshow on my ViRGE/VX even with texture filtering turned off, but Monster Truck Madness runs great despite having higher draw distances and poly counts. #RetroGaming
