Hospice covers the terminal illness and the non hospice related issues are covered by the other part of people’s insurance. I did this for 17 years that’s how hospice works. Hospice does not kick you off your insurance

Hard to believe you’re a palliative MD. When you go on hospice - hospice covers the terminal illness and all that goes with that. Insurance covers the non hospital related things. No one loses their insurance

Something else happened. Hospice doesn’t stop insurance. It’s part of the Medicare benefit. People need to not jump in when they don’t know. I was a hospice nurse for 17 yrs.

Hospice is like Medicare for all. Pts get their meds, equipment and care covered. You of course have to meet criteria but you only gain, there is not much to lose by going on hospice. Oz should stop talking abt what he knows nothing abt!!
