A thing I learned not too long ago is that when an LLM selects a token that leads it down an incorrect path (factually), it has no way to back up, or even know that it should back up, it's just on to the next likely bit. Literally every LLM is just posting their way through it. What an image.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

The thing about the CAD systems which allowed engineering, architecture, chip design, etc. to scale is that they automated the replication of fundamentally correct pieces in a way which did not impact their correctness. Scaling by AI is scaling by invention, trust in human review, and blind hope.

So... a tip: It's pretty bad when players who want to play your game have to stop because you've destroyed their hands with repeated tech demands.
