Meet a very dehydrated stray cow cat today and someone walking down the street convinced me to just give him some water bc "there are 50 stray cats on this block". Sigh. Apparently the community feeds them, but that is a lot of cats!

I did this today (flu & covid) and also had a can of Red Bull that contains 38g of sugar in 355ml of liquid. AMA. They did tell me that they are only offering the MMR shot to kids or adults who have had exposure to measles. Maybe like everything else there is a messed up supply chain somewhere.

Chicago has COVID vax appointments available now for anyone who lives within city limits. It's free, but they recommend using a pharmacy or your doctor if you have insurance. #chicago They have MMR and flu shots, too. getvaxchi.chicago.gov

It is very annoying how Google search drops you right into Gemini now. I was dealing with a simple and stupid Docker problem and Gemini gave me wall upon wall of text where the context just gradually got more polluted. What solved the problem was me walking away from the computer for two minutes.

It's downthread in the replies, but the original tv mini series for Salem's Lot has a scene with a child vampire that scared the shit out of me. (I was too young for it, but it was prime time tv). IIRC it is also terrifying in the book (Stephen King).

Doing mocktails with this. 1/3 lime la croix with muddled basil 2/3 watermelon juice dash of cayenne or tajin lime wedge More 'health food" than "cocktail" but pretty decent! It would be better with basil simple syrup and maybe even some sea salt if using cayenne.

Illustration of two toucans (Ramphastos dicolorus) perched on leafy branches. Both birds feature large, curved green beaks with red and white markings, red and yellow necks and chests, black wings and backs, and blue-gray feet gripping the branches. The detailed vintage-style artwork highlights the vibrant colors and texture of the feathers. The image is from J. #caturday I recently discovered that olives are safe cat treats (*in small amounts & as long as they are pitted & not super oily or salty & the kitty is not allergic). I feed my guy a few kalamata olives once in awhile. Cats go crazy for olives bc they contain the same chemical that is in catnip.
