Yeah it's also vaguely inspired by some rather problematic art of the westward expansion so I'm also fine if we ant to update it. Plus it's got a steamboat which is such an odd choice for a state with no natural body of water.

The yellow (or amber) wave is intending to evoke both the amber waves of grain and also the sunflower, though here it looks more like the sun rising into the star field. I'd want different colors, different sizes, different arc, but this is the rough idea I've had in my head for a better flag.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

A proposal for rural communities and a Kansas pilot
The problem facing our communities
In our rural communities, some of our neighbors have worked, raised families, and built lives here for years while lacking lawful immigration status. Working, paying taxes, or taking citizenship classes does not, by itself, create a legal pathway to remain in the country.
This leaves communities with a practical question: How can we give eligible, established residents a way to meet clear responsibilities, gain legal status, and continue contributing to the places they call home?
A resource already in place
Community colleges offer a practical starting point. They provide education and workforce training close to the people and employers they serve. Kansas has 19 community colleges, and Dodge City Community College already offers English and citizenship instruction. We can build on that experience to connect local education with a federally authorized pathway to legal status.
The proposed solution
Congress would create a pathway for eligible immigrants already living in the United States, with community colleges providing English, civics, and workforce education. Federal officials would determine eligibility and conduct background checks. Participants would make documented progress, meet legal requirements, and contribute reasonable course fees.
The central commitment is protection from deportation and permission to work while participants meet the pathway's requirements. Federal law would also provide protection during qualifying application and review periods, so that government processing delays do not undermine the opportunity.
Those who complete the educational and other requirements could apply for permanent residence, or green card status, and later seek citizenship under federal law. Colleges would teach and document progress; federal officials would make immigration decision…

Persona 5 hit for me around the time of COVID and reawakended my ability to play long games in a focused way. NFL 2K is the reason km a Vikings fan. Tin Star was one of the first hard games in my life that took over 10 years for me to overcome. Golden Sun has always been a comfort in hard times.

There are better games like Elden Ring or games I love more like MGS4, but these 9 games defined major shifts in my life or were at pivotol moments. HL2 is why I got into PCs and why I wanted to make games. FoM helped me realize my love of law. WoW was so all encompassing I'm planning to play more
