What elements of postmodernism should we preserve, and what must we discard? What defines the metamodern—what it is and what it is not—and why does it matter?

I wrote a very small research note on Foucault’s reading of Borges. One writer finds his face at the end of the labyrinth; the other writes in order to conceal his. Check it here: absolute-disruption.com/2026/09/27/t...

If a generative AI CEO is telling you something, take it with a grain of salt the size of an iceberg. So if they want regulation now, it is more likely something to do with finances than an immediate existential threat. These dipshits do not care about existential threats other than going bankrupt.

Many thanks for the careful & thoughtful review! Very much appreciate the serious engagement with the Genealogy book & especially for noticing how it fits into my larger project, including the places we see things different. Exactly the kind of conversation I was hoping the book might spark. Cheers!

Really nice to read these generous comments on The Genealogy of Genealogy from Stuart Elden @stuartelden.bsky.social ! Esp. since one of the original sparks for my project was his observation that Dumézil’s influence was “a topic that requires further investigation.” Thanks for the thoughtful read!

More broadly-my project isn't really aimed at replacing critique w/ "joyful positivism" or an anti-critical stance. I'm more challenging prepackaged genres of criticism that have become automatic. Trying to encourage critique to interrogate itself, escape calcification, and fine grained .

Honestly, I haven't read it. From the back cover summary, it struck me as adjacent to a version of "evolutionary psychology" that I've tended to be skeptical of and have criticized elsewhere. (Happy to say more about that if relevant).
