This #OpenAccess article seeks to understand how peer attitudes toward disability can lead to exclusion in schools. The research helps us understand how values deeply rooted in charitable models of disability influences peer interactions in Jordanian schools 👇 doi.org/10.1080/0013...
Educational Review journal title appears at the top. On the left, in white text on a bright blue background is the article title and author name(s): ‘Mapping Jordanian students’ understanding of disability’ by Sarah K. Benson & Mayada Al-Natour. On the right is an image of children in a classroom engaging in an inclusive learning and awareness activity. The words “Open Access” appear in a red circle.

Some of the people in this article have shared their recollections with me before - but on condition of anonymity. Coming forward now is an act of patriotism. Farage’s claim that it never happened is the opposite. (Note also the line about pronouncing his name.) www.theguardian.com/politics/ng-...

We are at the point in history where Germany is having to lecture the US on the need to fight fascism.
A post by Marco Rubio attacking Germany for tackling the alt right extremism of the AfD.
The German foreign office responds.

Rubio’s posts says:

Germany just gave its spy agency new powers to surveil the opposition. That's not democracy—it's tyranny in disguise.
What is truly extremist is not the popular AfD-which took second in the recent election—but rather the establishment's deadly open border immigration policies that the AfD opposes.
Germany should reverse course.

The German foreign office responds with:

This is democracy. This decision is the result of a thorough & independent investigation to protect our Constitution & the rule of law. It is independent courts that will have the final say.
We have learnt from our history that rightwing extremism needs to be stopped.
